Rock in Rio is one of the biggest music and entertainment event of all time, held so far in Brazil, Portugal and USA, gathering nearly 6 million people.
Using music as an universal language that unites people around the world, Rock in Rio is a communication vehicle for emotions and causes. One of its pillars is the Social Project, of which SIC Esperança is a partner in Portugal. Launched in 2001 in Rio de Janeiro, the Project for a better world was created to draw people's attention using music, and to sensitize them to assist in improving social conditions through simple everyday actions. From the Portuguese edition of 2006 onwards the organization found that environmental issues were urgent and promoted several actions on Climate Change and Sustainability.
